Neurosurgical Training
Dr Mrudul underwent his neurosurgical training at Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore under the expert guidance of one of the biggest names in Indian neurosurgery, Dr Thimappa Hegde. His training lasted for 6 years and he was bestowed the title of Doctorate of National Board in Neurosurgery in 2021. Being a high volume tertiary care centre with over 1500 beds, he gained experience in skull base and endoscopic neurosurgery, vascular neurosurgery, pediatrics as well as neurooncology and the entire spectrum of spinal disorders. During his tenure, Dr Mrudul presented several papers in local, national and international conferences, as well as trained students from WHU, Germany in hospital management. He was actively involved in academics and training residents and staff, and was adored by all!
Dr Mrudul completed his IGCSE and Advanced Levels from the University of Cambridge, with the ICE Distinction. Following his childhood dream of service through medicine, he acquired a state merit rank of 80 and was selected into the MBBS program at GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Parel, Mumbai, where he excelled with 3 distinctions and won the prestigious RG Dhayagude Award. A keen outdoor enthusiast, he organised and participated in several treks and cultural events and activities.

Beyond neurosurgery...
Not only a distinguished neurosurgeon but also a deeply spiritual soul, Dr Mruduls connection to nature shapes his philosophy of healing. Grounded in the belief that the mind, body, and spirit are intricately intertwined, he is often found exploring forest trails and Himalayan peaks. For Dr. Mrudul, surgery is not merely a clinical task—it is a sacred responsibility, carried out with reverence for life and guided by a sense of purpose far beyond the operating room.
Deeply committed to serving both people and animals, Dr. Bhatjiwale dedicates much of his time outside the clinic to supporting healthcare access for the poor and underserved. His compassion extends beyond human patients—he’s a lifelong animal lover and an active advocate for animal welfare. Dr. Bhatjiwale is an active member of two nonprofit foundations: one focused on providing neurological and surgical care in impoverished communities, the Neuro Health Foundation, and the other dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating stray and injured animals, the Nature's Ally Foundation.
